Wilshire Police Station, in connection with an alleged
domestic violence felony battery report.
The singer voluntarily turned himself in to be questioned. He had not
been arrested or charged over the incident at press time, according to

The Associated Press, the LAPD said in a

were in a vehicle in the Hancock Park neighborhood of Los Angeles early
Sunday when they began arguing.
The
Los Angeles Times reported late Sunday that "sources familiar with the investigation" said the
victim in the attack was singer Rihanna, although that information was unconfirmed at press time.
Police said Brown and the woman got out of the car and the
argument escalated; the woman reportedly identified Brown as her
attacker. Officers said Brown was not present at the scene when they
arrived. People.com reported that the woman suffered visible injuries.
A rep for Brown had not responded to MTV News' requests for comment at press time.
According to
Entertainment Weekly's Web site,
Rihanna and Brown were involved in a car accidentearly Sunday; a rep for her would not confirm or deny the accident,
saying only that "Rihanna is well. Thank you for the care and support."
MTV News' attempts to reach Brown's spokesperson for comment on the matter were unsuccessful.
It was announced Sunday night that neither Rihanna nor Chris Brown would appear at the Grammy Awards as scheduled.
